"Gravity" is about, for me, the challenge of not falling. I was riding high at a very early age. I was riding high at 22. "Gravity" is me already saying, "Mayer, don't do anything stupid." I live next door to heroin abuse, in terms of a career hazard. If you stock stuff, you risk getting crushed by a forklift. I run the risk of drinking my head off and cleaning a gun with an extra bullet. I don't need to do that stuff. I need to go onstage, give people the best show they can possibly have, and explore the cosmos of music without the adjoining darkness.
